Outdoor Living Scotland
A garden that lives the way you do.
For too long, the Scottish garden has been treated as somewhere to admire through the window rather than a place to live. We think differently. Wallace Collective designs outdoor spaces that are sheltered from the weather, warm into the evening, and built to be used: for cooking, for gathering, for quiet mornings with a coffee.
Our approach grew out of more than 25 years of hands-on work creating some of Scotland's most loved gardens. That experience tells us a beautiful space is never about a single product. It is about how shelter, heat, cooking, planting and surfaces come together, balanced for your space, your lifestyle and the way the light and weather move across a Scottish year.
This is the home of outdoor living in Scotland. From here you can explore each part of what we do, or start a conversation about your own space.
Our Unique Approach
Five pillars of outdoor living design
Not every space needs every pillar. Balance, judged for your garden and your climate, is what makes it work.
01
Shelter
Wind-rated aluminium pergolas with integrated louvres, drainage and lighting, built to hold up to Scottish weather and turn an exposed garden into a room you actually use.
02
Heating
Infrared heaters, fire bowls and fire tables that extend the season well past summer, creating warmth and atmosphere wherever people gather and linger.
03
Cooking & Dining
Modular Cubic kitchens, Beefeater grills and OFYR fire cooking, paired with design-led dining furniture for everything from a quiet coffee to a long table of friends.
04
Plants
Vistafolia green walls, specimen trees and considered planting schemes that give a space texture, privacy and soul, the living architecture of the garden.
05
Surface
Timber decking, precision stone and paving that decide how you move and dwell, connecting the inside of the home to the outdoors in one continuous space.

One team, one vision
From first conversation to final finish.
Every project starts with a conversation about how you want to live outside. From there we move into design and specification: layout, materials and the key features that make a space work. Where installation is required, we work with experienced installation partners who bring the design to life with craftsmanship and care.
We stay involved from first conversation to final finish, so the design intent carries through every stage and the finished space feels considered in every detail and is genuinely built to last.

Frequently asked questions
What does "outdoor living" actually mean?
Outdoor living is treating your garden as another room of the home rather than a space you only visit in summer. We approach it through five pillars: shelter, heating, cooking and dining, plants, and surface, so the space is comfortable, usable and beautiful across the whole year.
Do you cover the whole of Scotland?
Yes. Wallace Collective designs and specifies outdoor living projects across Scotland, from the Central Belt to the Highlands and beyond, with our showroom and design studio acting as the base for consultations.
Can the garden really be used all year in the Scottish climate?
That is exactly what we design for. Wind-rated shelter, effective heating and the right surfaces mean a well-designed Scottish garden can be comfortable in spring, autumn and even winter, not just on the handful of warm summer evenings.
Do you only sell products?
No. Wallace Collective offers much more than products. We help clients design complete outdoor living spaces, combining carefully selected products with expert design, specification and project guidance. Where installation is required, we work with experienced installation partners to bring the design to life.
